Please read the following information before booking for your adventure with us. We reserve the right to amend our Ts & Cs at any point without prior notice. Customers should familiarise themselves with these before and at arrival.

Getting to us

We are located on the A81, just outside Gartmore and Aberfoyle.

  • If using SatNav, please use our full address – Action Adventure Activities, Easterhill, Gartmore, FK8 3SA
  • Take the turning into the Trossachs Holiday Park, clearly signposted on the A81.
  • Once in the holiday park, take the right hand fork down an unpaved farm track (following the small Action Adventure Activities sign).
  • After around half a mile, you will reach the Action Adventure Activities farm on your left
  • Parking is signposted past the green barn on the right hand side.

Please take care driving down the farm track, 5 MPH speed limit, as the track is not tarmacked and can be busy with dog walkers, children and cyclists.

Transport Links- because of our rural location we would not recommend booking to anyone needing to get to us by public transport. For those wishing to travel by bike we are directly connected to Sustrans Cycle Route 7.

All activities must be paid in full in advance of a confirmation email being provided.

Any past or current medical conditions should be provided at the time of booking. Where a medical condition excludes participation another participant can be substituted, or a credit or refund may be offered.

ALL OUR ACTIVITIES REQUIRE AT LEAST 1 ADULT PARTICIPANT.

Medical conditions

Please note that all of our activities require a moderate level of fitness, though none are particularly strenuous. On booking any activity you will be deemed to have accepted that you are fit enough to participate.

Certain medical conditions and pre-existing or historical injuries may limit or exclude participation in certain activities. We may require written clarification from your doctor or consultant regarding your ability to participate in any particular activity. This will be required before a booking can be confirmed.

e.g. Asthma, heart condition, pregnancy, previous fractures, dislocations or muscular injuries. Whilst this is not an exhaustive list prospective participants must inform A3 of all and any factors that may have a bearing on their ability to safely participate in an activity.

Customers will be expected to accept a level of responsibility in that if they have any medical condition whatsoever, or are on any medication whatsoever, it is the responsibility of the customer to seek appropriate advice prior to arrival. For adult groups the onus is on individual participants to contact Action Adventure Activities with any relevant information, not the person leading the group and or making the booking. Participants who have been prescribed an Inhaler, Epipen, GTN spray must bring this with them for their session in order to participate.

Pets

We love furry adventurers, but we don’t like cleaning up after them! We are happy for you to bring your canine companions with you however, they must be on a leash at all times and we expect you to clean up any poops and dispose of it responsibly. We have bins, spare poo bags and water bowls dotted around the centre. If your dog cannot be left in your vehicle while you participate in your activity then you will need to bring a non participant adult with you to look after the dog. For most activities spectating whilst supervising a dog is not appropriate.

Postponement of your booking

Although we try our very best to run all sessions, Scottish weather can be against us sometimes, as can other technical issues which  this may result in postponing your session at short notice. We will give you as much notice as possible in these instances.

Please check your email and voicemail both the night before your activity and in the morning before setting out. If we have postponed your session, we will make every effort to re-arrange your session for a suitable date in the near future.

Where AAA cannot provide an activity due to technical difficulties/group size/weather affecting the safe provision of the activity or other circumstances out of our control then an equally priced or greater priced activity may be offered in its place, or the original activity will be rescheduled.

Fire Safety

Fire assembly notifications can be found in our reception area and indoor changing areas. Assembly point is behind the big green barn in the target sports field.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that things change and you may need to cancel or change your booking.  We are happy to rearrange your booking up to 7 days before your session. If we receive less than 7 days notice there will be a re-booking fee of £20 per person applied.

Action Adventure Activities place great emphasis on the safety and comfort of our clients. We only employ suitably qualified, well trained staff and use only modern correctly maintained equipment. However outdoor activities are inherently hazardous by their nature and participants must accept that participation could result in physical harm or even death. The environment in which our activities may take place can add to this with remoteness and the terrain on which some activities take place. Parents and guardians must also accept a degree of risk to their children. Group organisers must explain this risk to all group members (or Parents/Guardians where appropriate) before confirming their participation. ***While we will take all reasonably practical steps to reduce the risk of transmission of the COVID-19 virus during our activities it is impossible to reduce this risk to zero and there remains a very small risk of transmission between participants***

To ensure everyone’s safety as far as possible, we reserve the right to postpone or cancel the activities on offer as weather, group requirements or other technical issues dictate. If we feel any person(s) on an activity are placing themselves or the group at risk by their actions, we reserve the right to remove the person(s) concerned from the activity. No refund or right to rebook would be permitted.
